In games, with a certain skill, you can distinguish the direction of sound: front-back, right-left. In normal mode 2.0 - you can only distinguish between right-left.

It will be better on the Asus xonar D1, because the price is enchanting and the sampling rate. But I would listen on the Realtek ALC898 driver download, as I use the optical output to connect to an AV receiver.

This is the same thing, only coaxial, but I don’t get any special quality by analogue, so it’s better to sit on the ALC898 than lay out a lot of money for no reason. In addition, I am sure that your speakers are not hi-fi.
