What is the difference between Need for Speed Rivals from Need for Speed Hot Pursuit ?

What is the difference between

 Need for Speed Rivals

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit ?

At least it’s graphics (in Rivals it’s nicer). Rivals is a brought to mind Pursuit. Further, if desired, you can see and compare on YouTube

Well, in both games, the emphasis is on hardcore chases, and there is a branch for both the rider and the police. But I personally like HP 2010 more if only for the reason that you can drive off the plot, and in rivals the police will constantly bother you. The same picture in HP looks better, at least because of the landscapes
