Sony has officially refused to host a separate event at the MWC 2020 in Barcelona. This is due to a sharp outbreak of coronavirus in China - the company does not want to risk its employees and partners.

According to rumors, Sony was supposed to present the new flagship Xperia 2 at MWC 2020 - the presentation will be held on February 24, but only as an online broadcast.
In addition to Sony, LG, ZTE, Ericsson, NVIDIA and Amazon have already abandoned the MWC exhibition.
The exhibition will be held from February 24 to 27. The organizers of the event promised to take additional security measures for visitors to the exhibition, but it did not seem to help keep the company.
