What is SMART on the TV and how to use it specifically?
                Example smart tv JVS

For example, how to watch programs and films that are not broadcast in the usual way (through the antenna).
What other features will be added? And is this happiness necessary if there is a computer with a normal monitor? (In another room, it’s true. And often busy with other family members.)

Smart TV. Such television sets are also called “smart TVs,” and they provide Internet access and the installation of additional applications, as well as additional opportunities for obtaining media content (video files, photos, music) for the TV.

Smart TV is a set of programs (software) that create a platform, thanks to which it is already possible to get a media center from a television set. This innovation serves to connect the TV to a home LAN, usually connected to a computer and other devices via DLNA, and to access the Internet. On the Internet, TV manufacturers create special services for users who use their brand's TV. Yes, and ordinary Internet services can be used on a TV, these are various photo banks with the ability to view photos, and news resources, and YouTube, etc.

All services using the Internet are certainly a convenient thing, but do not forget that you will only have to use the remote control and virtual keyboard all the time. This may cause some discomfort at work. Here everyone will have to choose personally whether he needs all these innovations with such ease of use. True, there is already a keyboard for TVs. This is the so-called QWERTY keyboard. This is what it is called by the layout of the keys. On a regular keyboard for a computer, the same layout. Look at the top row of the keyboard. On the left you will see consecutive letters of the Latin layout - QWERTY. Here comes the name. For a TV, such a keyboard is small in size with such a layout for ease of use. It can be delivered separately or be combined with the remote control. On the remote, on the one hand, there will be TV control keys, and on the other, a keyboard for working with Smart TV. When the remote control flips, unused keys that appear at the bottom are disabled. But such a keyboard does not come with all Smart TV models.

Smart TV package offers the user to receive additional content from the home network and from the Internet. If in the first developments only a few specific services were offered on the Internet for use in televisions, today a browser is installed in smart TV receivers and the user can surf the Internet like on a computer. And as pre-installed services, widgets are used (special programs to expand the capabilities of the TV). With their help, you can learn about the weather, share photos, use social networks, etc. Thanks to the smart TV, you can connect your TV to the home network via DLNA and use information from connected devices to watch on the TV. Such opportunities allow the viewer not to be tied only to the program of programs of television channels, but to receive content from almost all possible sources.

You cut the Internet into the TV and use the Internet on the TV set - this is SMART :)) It’s very convenient to watch online TV, movies from YouTube, and if you want, by connecting a wireless keyboard and mouse, use the telecom as a computer :))

It is very convenient to watch online TV .... So I ask: HOW is this done? you take the remote control, press a certain button, select a channel and watch OR pay for some kind of Internet crap (connect the service) and only then look for that same button .... OR in some tricky way you connect the Internet from the computer first. HOW does this happen in reality?

the TV has an RJ-45 connector, and an Internet cable is inserted there. It is possible to connect a wi-fi adapter to the TV. In both cases, it is advisable to install a router to use the Internet from all devices

I don’t even know such words: wi-fi adapter, router, RJ-45 connector ... is it all to buy separately? Expensive? Are these extra wires still hanging out or are these things without wires like a flash drive?

Do you have a computer connected to the Internet?

modem - flashing light box

On the back side (in accordance with the lamps of the front side) there are 4 WLAN connectors ( RJ-45). One of these connectors is occupied by a cable, which is inserted into the computer with its other end. To connect a TV to the network, you need to get a similar cable (it is called "twisted pair") of suitable length and lay it between the modem and the TV.

There is a twisted pair cable, I think, no more than 10$ per meter. But keep in mind that it needs to be “squeezed”, i.e. install plastic connectors at the ends. Only a professional can do it. It happens that twisted pair is sold with connectors already "from the factory" (length 1, 3, 5 m, etc.)
