Faced such a problem:
If in the device manager click on the button "Update equipment configuration" then endless friezes of the system, mouse, sound begin. A standard restart or shutdown of the PC through the start menu goes on endlessly (10 minutes, then a blue screen if you wait a very long time) Only a reboot through the button on the system unit helps.
Sometimes it starts to freeze right after turning on the PC, but it never starts to freeze out of the blue for no reason, only when turning on or restarting the PC and also when trying to "Update the hardware configuration" in the device manager, there is a temporary solution to the problem only if you go to sleep instead of turning it off
Then precisely after awakening is not freezet.
The system is new, drivers for all relevant.
p.s. They wrote to the Microsoft support and received several commands in response that needed to be written in PowerShell:
First Dism / Online / Cleanup-Image / RestoreHealth Team
Second sfc / scannow command
On this, the assistants from the shirts were silent, the problem did not disappear.
